Penobscot Bay YMCA Board Treasurer

I first came to Camden in 1990 to work at the FMC plant in Rockland.  I immediately fell in love with the area.  I moved away in 1993 but came back in 2017.  I loved Maine, felt as if this was supposed to be my home and hoped that, when I retired, I would be able to move back.  I am fortunate that life allowed me to come back to Camden.  When I was first here in the 90s, we belonged to the YMCA (on Chestnut Street) and my son took daddy/baby swimming classes and did other infant activities at the "Y".  Our experience with the YMCA influenced our utilizing other community resources for our kid’s activities after we moved.  Since coming back to Maine, I have participated in several community based organizations in order to give back to this wonderful area that caught my heart 30 years ago and I am looking forward to helping the YMCA serve the needs of this very special community.
