Penobscot Bay YMCA Board Member
I first walked through the doors of the Rockport YMCA in late fall of 2014. I heard there was a Karate Class, and wanted to join, as love of martial arts what something that started back in my 1971 college days. Little did I know that walking through the doors that day was putting me on a path leading to both national and international travel, meetings, and training with other karateka (karate people). Stepping back and looking at the big picture: the Y is an absolute wonderful resource that offers a wide variety of health, education and child care opportunities. We are truly fortunate to have two facilities, one in Rockland and one in Rockport, that offer such opportunity.
