I was introduced to the YMCA as a summer resident in my teens and felt fortunate to have access to such a dynamic facility despite being from away. Twenty years later and still a member and full time Maine resident, the YMCA plays a huge role in meeting my families needs everyday. Our daughter is enrolled in the childcare program five days a week and absolutely loves her teachers. My husband and I depend on the pool and the gym for our physical health. I am a volunteer at the YMCA because I believe that the organization takes care of our community and I hope to better support that effort.
