Please note: Campers must meet Fall 2026 Kindergarten public school eligibility and be born on or before 10/15/2021.

2026 SUMMER CAMP ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENING DATES:

Wednesday, February 4 at 5:30 PM: Penobscot Bay YMCA members enrolling in all camps
Wednesday, February 11 at 5:30 PM: Non-members enrolling in all camps

Once registered, you will receive a link to complete the Summer Camp Enrollment Form, which includes payment instructions and all required waivers. Please complete the required paperwork within 10 days of receiving the link to avoid any delays at camp drop-off.

HOME BASE LOCATION: Penobscot Bay YMCA

Please note: Drop-off and Pick-up are at the Penobscot Bay YMCA.

WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT:

This all-day camp runs from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Drop-off and pick-up are at the Penobscot Bay YMCA.
Discovery Camp is designed for first-time campers who have completed or are eligible for Kindergarten.
Your camper will be excited about new experiences while having the comfort of a consistent routine.
Weekly activities include arts, crafts, indoor/outdoor games, swimming, sports, and STEM activities.
Discovery Camp will enjoy field trips 2 to 3 days per week to local parks, beaches, and other exciting adventures. Bus will depart at 9:30 AM and return by 3:30 PM.
All campers must be checked in by Y Camp Staff.
Camp Counselors are certified in First Aid, CPR & AEDs, with some being Red Cross Certified Lifeguards. Our staff have also been trained on bullying prevention.
A low camper-to-staff ratio makes our camp the perfect choice for parents who need a fun, safe place for their children during summer break, with safety being their #1 priority.

Before & After Care:

Before & After Care is available for this camp at the Penobscot Bay YMCA for an additional fee.
Before Care runs 7:30 - 9:00 AM.
After Care runs 4:00 - 5:30 PM.
Campers enrolled in After Care will remain at the YMCA Gymnasium and must be picked up by 5:30 PM.

Discovery PRE-WEEK: June 15 - 18*
Week 1: June 22 - 26
Week 2: June 29 - July 3
Week 3: July 6 - 10
Week 4: July 13 - 17
Week 5: July 20 - 24
Week 6: July 27 - 31
Week 7: August 3 - 7
Week 8: August 10 - 14

*4-Day Week - Prorated Camp Rate.

*PRE-WEEK: Discovery Camp will not take field trips due to a lack of buses.

WEEKLY COST:

Members: $240/week
Participants: $290/week
Prorated Pre-Week: $192 Members / $232 Participants

Before & After Care: $40/week (for each). If registered by May 31, Before & After Care requires a 50% down payment. If registered after, Before & After Care must be paid in full.
