Job Description

Part-Time Personal Trainer - Rockport

Position Summary:

Provide member support in Rockport Fitness Center on Sundays and train clients individually or in small groups in late afternoon, evening hours during the week.  Provides excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness.

Schedule:

Personal train clients in the evenings and work in Rockport Fitness Center assisting members on Sundays from 10:00am - 5:00pm 

Job Functions:

  • Conducts fitness orientations
  • Conducts personal training sessions
  • Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
  • Monitors the fitness floor to ensure safety of members.
  • Develops positive relationships with members and provides motivational support and guidance.
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
  • Helps maintain fitness equipment and facilities to include cleaning and laundry. Reports equipment problems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Personal Training Certification required.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required, willing to train the right candidate

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Normal Fitness Center and office environments, noise in excess of normal work environment.
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
